About the Speaker:
K.A. Nelson is a US Marine Corps veteran, wreck diver, and resident of the Philadelphia area. His upcoming book, Killing Shore: The True Story of Hitler’s U-boats Off the New Jersey Coast, offers a bold new perspective on this oft-forgotten campaign by using primary sources to reconstruct eleven combat incidents that occurred along the Jersey Shore. These accounts are interwoven together with their broader historical context into a narrative about how the Battle of the Atlantic came to American waters and how the U-boats were ultimately defeated there. Killing Shore will be released on April 18, 2024, by Brookline Books/Casemate Publishers.
